The house is silent. Riddle is sad. We can lower the heat to the usual 62. The guests are gone. Happy to have our home back to ourselves, but it sure was nice to have loved ones so near. There's something amazing about just being in the same room with your dad or mom. Watching TV, relaxing on the couch, seeing the Muppets and then Harry Potter is the stuff we miss more than anything else about living on the opposite side of the country from our parents. But, then again, we know we'll all be together again soon. For me I'll see Unkie and Kerry and Claudia in March for my usual Columbia adventure. And we'll see the Collie Clan in May for the next Collie wedding. Spring will be here in no time. And in the interim, we're gearing up and getting excited for our first California Christmas! There's a tree to buy, lights to hang, garland to string up, paperwhites to grow, and sparkling snow candles to burn. We're surely excited.
To get in the spirit, I've been listening to Lite 106.7 almost non-stop ... while grading papers, baking, reading the newspaper. Check it out. It will make you happy.
Week has already flown by. Finally got in a workout today. Took three days off. 100% off. There were naps in place of running. Hoping to get in a run tomorrow and some riding on Friday. Have another half marathon on Sunday. This will close out the fall and winter racing season. Well, until someone talks us into entering the lottery for another ultra. We'll keep you posted.
Happy happy!
